After graduating from top-tier Physics and Math's Russian School, Gymnasium 1514, Daria moved to the United States, commencing the international experience that shaped Daria's interest in the issues of diversity and inclusion.
She met Ecenur Menki during her studies, and the two co-founded the Design+Peace Organization. Agapitova is in charge of leadership and policy, as well as planning, coordination and management of the events in collaboration with the Executive Team.
Over the Summer of 2020, Daria did personal research "Openness. Architecture, Governance, and Sexuality" sponsored by SOURCE at Syracuse University and advised by Professor Lori Brown, focusing on the topics of sexuality, sexual inclusion, and its spatialization. During the 2020-2021 academic year, Daria engaged in another project founded by SOURCE at Syracuse University and advised by Professor Lori Brown, called "Queer Clouds of Thoughts". Along with two other students, Daria investigated how contemporary spaces, encompassing the physical, digital, and social, contribute to the development of queer identities. The project, curated by the student platform "The Living Room Conversation," concluded with a video installation at the Everson Museum of Art Plaza, as well as a panel discussion with Shawne Holloway, Jaffer Kolb, Lucas LaRochelle, and Susan Stryker.
